Annie's Way Jelly Mask #Review

Have anyone heard about Jelly Mask ? Jelly mask is totally different from those sheet mask that we've usually seen.  It is jelly or watery type of mask that we need to apply on our face for 15-20 minutes, just like how you apply your facial cream on your face, then rinse off with water.

Why Jelly Mask is so popular ? This is simply because it is easy to apply as well as we can control the amount of mask that we need to apply on our face.  It depends on whether you like the washable type or the non-washable type.  Normally, the washable type has an immediate result and it is strongly not recommended to leave on face overnight as it may cause irritation while the non-washable type is usually leave for whole night hydration purpose.  I like jelly mask because i personally think that my skin is able to absorb the nutrients better.  Heheee.

Annie's Way Jelly Mask has been my favourite brand of all.  I do use facial sheet mask but i'll use jelly mask alternately as well because i believe that my skin needs nutrients from all sources *wink*

There are total nine type of jelly mask in the market.  My all time favourite would be the Honey Deep Moisturising and the Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid jelly mask.

The steps of using jelly mask :
  1. Cleanse your face thoroughly.
  2. Apply your own toner. ( Optional )
  3. Apply Annie's Way jelly mask for about 0.3-0.5cm on face evenly by spatula.
  4. After 30 minutes, scrap the jelly mask off gently and wash off the residual.

For me, i usually apply a thicker layer of jelly mask on my T-zone area to enhance the cleansing purpose.  After 30 minutes, i can feel that my skin has actually become tighter where this is the time  i clean off the mask.  However, when the amount i apply on face is not appropriate, the jelly mask will dry out after 30 minutes and i do not forcibly scrape them off because this would hurt my skin.  All i do is to tap some water on face, making the jelly mask to be soft again, then i will be scraping off the mask by a spatula.

What i like about this product ?
  • Moisturising.  I like how soft and hydrated is my skin after every usage.
  • Tightening pores.  It does minimise the large pores on my T-zone area although it works less effectively on removing the blackheads and whiteheads on my face. ( it is meant to reduce blackheads actually or maybe my blackheads are too stubborn :b )
  • Cost-effective.
  • It has very natural scent.  It does not contain any artificial flavouring.  I personally like the natural mild honey scent of the Honey Deep Moisturising jelly mask as it makes me feel relaxed.  I doubt that it smells like ginseng with honey ? *grin*
  • It does not contain any artificial colouring.
  • It does not contain any chemical preservative that harms our skin.  This is the reason the jelly mask is not suitable to be kept in fridge and it is better to use the mask within three months.

Would i repurchase the product ? Yay or Nay ?
This would be definitely a YAY.
