Uriage Eau Thermale Review

Recently, I was sent a few products from Uriage brand to try on. Before using any skincare products, I do concern about the brand quality, whether the products work well on my skin, as well as the ingredients used as I have combination, and sometimes dry or sensitive skin depend on my hormonal change. One tip to choose the best skincare products for your skin : Do research about the brand background or product reviews, thats what I always do heh. I really love this range of products as they are not harsh to my skin at all, so do scroll down to check out what products that I've tried from Uriage ! :D

Uriage Thermal Micellar Water 

I love using cleansing water instead of cleansing oil to remove my make up because I do not like the greasy feeling that cleansing oil left on my face despite cleansing oil claims to remove all trace of the day more efficiently. This thermal micellar water is my recent love <3 

As a matter of fact, normal micellar water may damage the cutaneous barrier resulting in transepidermal water loss and feeling of discomforts, Uriage Thermal Micellar Water however plays its role well to reinforce skin barrier, protect, soothe and hydrate my skin intensely. How could I not love using product that is harmless to my skin ?

There are three types of thermal micellar water, and I am currently using PNS, which is for dry to normal skin. With no rinsing, I love how it leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed and soothed! It has minimal scent, which is acceptable. This micellar water does a great job in removing my light makeup, but might need a little more effort in removing eyes and lip makeup. If you have your heavy eye or lip makeup on, you might need an oil makeup remover to remove the waterproof makeup. What I like the most, it does not cause any irritation to my eyes!

Uriage Cleansing Cream 

This liquid cleanser, containing 1/3 nourishing milk, is soap-free and does not lather much yet cleanse skin well. It is really gentle, leaving my skin soft and clean. I do not have any breakouts and my skin feels supple and hydrated. It is suitable for all skin type! From my experience, there is no itchiness nor tightening feeling after wash. 

Uriage Thermal Water

This natural thermal water mist is rich in minerals and trace elements, which claims to moisturise the skin for up to three hours, soothes and protects skin from free radicals. This is one of the product that I could never live without it because I tend to stay in air-conditioned environment for long hours ! With this mist, I can hydrate my skin whenever, wherever I want.

What I like about this mist is the fineness of the spray, which does not affect my makeup even I use it on a full make-up face. It is even safe to be used and works well in calming my skin after prolonged sun exposure. It is fast-absorbed, leaving my skin hydrated and supple!

PURE VITAMIN C21.5 ADVANCED SERUM #review

Months ago, I was given C20 Pure Vitamin C21.5 Advanced Serum to try on. I'm absolutely in love with this product! It was my first time using a concentrated serum in my skincare routine, and I find my skin texture improves after months of usage.

As compared with the previous version of Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum, this advanced serum has been upgraded to a better formula which contains only 10 main ingredients instead of the previous 29 ingredients, with the purpose of focusing and enhancing its effect on skin.

How do I use this ? 

As it consists of 21.5% of concentrated vitamin C, I use this serum for my nighttime skincare routine because skin restores itself better during sleep period. As vitamin C is easily oxidised by oxygen and sunlight, do not forget to store this serum in a cool place and therefore, I prefer using this serum during nighttime. Due to hygiene purpose, the serum and pipette applicator are separated. After every usage, I suggest to wash the pipette applicator thoroughly to prevent any residue remaining inside the pipette so that oxidised residue will not form inside the pipette. I apply this serum before putting on my daily moisturizer. Sometimes I do mix this serum with a mild moisturizer when my skin does not seem well on that day.

What do I think about this product ? 

The serum is well absorbed after I massage my face with rubbed hands. It does not cause breakouts on my skin nor stinging sensation. As time passes, I notice that this serum is effective in brightening my dull skin as well as providing natural glow to my face. It does not clog my pores. It may not provide visible effect on lightening my skin tone, but it makes my skin to appear healthier. To my surprise, my acne scars are less visible after few weeks. This serum would definitely be a MUST in my skincare regime. It was really gooooood!

It contains hyaluronic acid and Phyto-oligo which prove to hydrate your skin gently without causing any breakouts. Hence, it is safely to be used after sunburn or any skin troubles. 

Just like the other sheet mask, clean your face thoroughly and apply toner before putting on the sheet mask. Adjust the mask on your face to make sure that it fits every part of your face evenly. After 15-20 minutes, take off the mask and massage your face to allow the remaining essence to be absorbed, then you're done ! 

What do I think about this sheet mask ? 

Unlike the latest formula of the other sheet masks, Klairs sheet mask is thick and wet but still my skin is able to breathe underneath it. However, it doest not fix my face shape and I have to fold the corner of the mask to make it tight and firm on my face. I like how the sheet mask designs for the double layer under my eyes as my dark eye circles are reduced when they are more nourished. 

The smell is mild. I feel a little stickiness on my skin after taking off the mask but after massaging for few minutes, the essence are fastly absorbed into my skin leaving it supple and moisturized. It really does reduce the redness on my skin too. I use this sheet mask once every week, and it leaves my skin clear and soft, which is proven to be the lasting effect of the sheet mask ! Not to forget to mention, it is eco-friendly as it does not contain paraben, and of course it is suitable for sensitive skin. It does not stimulate any itchiness or breakouts on my skin at all. 

I have no idea why do some people dislike using sheet masks :p 

For me, I absolutely love the feeling of using sheet mask, especially the feeling of covering your entire face with nutrients, and you feel so relaxing with the mild smell of the mask.

What do I think about this product ?

Do not judge a book by its cover. When I open the glass jar for the first time, I observe the texture of product which shows separation of layers with unpleasant colour. But not anymore after I stir it evenly. It is proven that its the different time period of honey collected that varies the colour of the mask. How organic it is right ? So do not get panicked when the colour isn't pleasant !! 

I find the smell of mask quite woody during the first time I approach it, and slowly I begin to get used to the smell. It actually has a strong brown sugary scent with natural touch! For some people, the smell of this honey mask may not be acceptable. Bear with it and you'll be amazed by the result!

I like how the mask is kept in a glass jar because unlike the usual product, the chemical in plastic container has the possibility to affect the product's stability negatively.

It has a very thick consistency, creamy texture. Its stickiness keeps the mask from dripping off my face. It does not irritate my skin at all. It does soothing and brightening my skin! I find it a little difficult to remove the residue by washing it with only clear water, which then I use my mild cleanser to remove the mask thoroughly or you may apply your toner with cotton pad to remove the excess. On top of that, I have a small part of face with acne and it actually reduce the redness on my face.

I like how natural the mask is. It does not contain any harsh artificial preservatives or flavour. Therefore, it is suitable for ALL skin type! I can feel the suppleness of my skin after every usage.

Innisfree Long Wear Cushion #23

Shameless to say, this is the first bb cushion i bought after deciding for so long.  I'm surprised with the effect of this bb cushion on my face.  It has mild coverage and leaves your skin so glowy and radiant.  It has moderate lasting effect for my combination skin and doesn't leave my skin dehydrating and cakey. However, a tip for you is to try the colour before you purchase as Innisfree has a ligher colour than the other brand :) I have medium skin colour and #23 colour suits me well.

This lip bar is very convenient as it is very easy to apply on your lips to create the trendy ombre lips.  The lipstick is very creamy and moderate moisturising effect.  However, its ombre colour does not stay obvious for many hours.

What do i think about the product ? 

I'm using the Wild Yellow Sage Soap as i was having some itchy skin spots all over my back week ago.  After using for few days, the itchiness on my back has gone.  However, i'm still using it for its moisturising function.   

I like how Yuan's homemade soaps are free from all the harsh chemical which the normal body wash usually contain that makes my skin more sensitive.  By using Yuan Soap, i feel safe to use it daily without irritating my skin.  It is mild and gentle enough to cleanse my skin without drying out but it does leaves a squeaky feeling on my skin.  I like how easy to get lather from the soup.  A little usage of the soap is enough for the whole body.  ( it saves a lot! ) Not only that, i must mention that i love the herbal smell of Yuan Soap by the natural essential oils but its all about personal preferences.  However, the herb smell has low staying power on your skin so you do not need to worry about having strong herb smell in the public.  The herb smell soothes my tired soul and i feel relaxed after every wash.
